Civil Connected and the CC Field app · Updated September 29, 2026
In short: your company's data lives in your company's own database, which your company owns and controls. We don't sell data, show ads, or track you across apps or websites.
Who we are
Civil Connected and the CC Field app are made by AB Civil Consulting. Each company that uses them runs its own database (a Supabase project the company owns). Your employer decides who is invited and what is kept.
What the app stores
Everything below is stored in your company's own database, not ours:
- Your account: name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), your role, and when you last signed in.
- Work records: timecards, daily notes and reports, equipment hours, and equipment problem reports.
- Contact details your office enters: such as your mobile phone number, used to text you an invitation.
- Photos, videos and voice recordings you choose to attach or record. The app asks before using the camera, photo library or microphone.
- A notification token for your phone, so your company can send you alerts.
- Your location when you clock in or out, if your company uses clocking in. The app reads it once, at the moment you tap Clock in or Clock out, to check that you're at the jobsite, and saves it with that shift. It is never collected in the background or at any other time, and the app asks your permission first. If you clock in away from the site, the reason you give is saved too.
Project locations (the map pin and the area around it that counts as the jobsite) are set by your office.
Services that handle some data
- Supabase hosts your company's database and files, in the company's own account.
- Expo, Apple and Google deliver push notifications. They receive your phone's notification token and the alert text, such as "Excavator 12 is down".
- OpenAI, only if your company adds its own OpenAI account. For voice notes, your recording is sent there to be transcribed. When the office or a foreman asks a question about the company's records, or asks for a summary of a day, the question and the records needed to answer it (such as daily notes, daily reports, timecards and T&M tickets) are sent there to write the answer. The office can switch this off in its settings.
- Maps on the web app: map images come from OpenFreeMap and the U.S. Geological Survey, and place searches go to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim. On your phone, Directions opens Apple Maps or Google Maps.
- Vercel hosts the web app. Like any website, it sees standard request information such as IP addresses.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- There is no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking in the app.
- We don't keep a copy of your company's data. During installation, the access token your company provides is used to set up its database and is not stored.
Who can see your data
People in your company, according to their role (for example, your foreman and office staff can see your timecards). The company's owners control its database. We can access a company's data only if that company gives us access, for example to help with setup.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app: tap your name, then Delete my account. On the web, open the menu under your name. Your login (email and password) is deleted. Records that belong to your employer, such as timecards you approved, stay with your employer. See how to delete your account.
To have other information about you changed or removed, ask your employer, who controls the company's database.
Children
The app is for employees at work and is not meant for children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above.
